Glass Bottle Induction Seal Liners
Induction foil liners engineered for glass — wax-bond hot-melt structures that weld to the glass rim for a tamper-evident, freshness-sealing membrane.
How it seals
Induction sealing is usually associated with plastic bottles, but glass packs take a dedicated structure. Polymers seal with a matched heat-seal layer; glass needs a wax-bond (hot-melt) build: an aluminium-foil membrane laminated to a paperboard backing, where the induction field melts the wax layer and bonds the foil to the glass rim.
The build behaves like a two-piece liner: on first opening the foil membrane peels off the glass, leaving a clean, visible tamper-evidence line, while the paperboard backing ring stays inside the cap and keeps resealing the jar between uses. Food-contact grades are standard for this family.
Because glass rims vary — thread finishes, moulding seams, rim width and cap torque all differ between jars — we cut the liner to your exact mouth diameter and validate the wax bond on your own jars before volume runs. Send us a jar and cap and we return sealed samples.

Typical applications
Where this family is specified
| Condiments & sauces | Tamper-evident foil seals for glass sauce and condiment bottles |
|---|---|
| Honey & jam | Freshness sealing with a clean peel and a resealing board backing |
| Spices & seasonings | Moisture and aroma protection for glass spice jars |
| Dry & powdered foods | Food-contact foil membranes for glass packs |
| Other glass-packed foods | Any glass jar or bottle mouth from 9 to 182 mm |
Choosing the right build
Glass sealing lives and dies by the rim: moulding seams, rim width and cap torque change how the wax bond wets the surface. Send us your jar and cap (or a rim drawing with the neck finish) and we cut samples in your diameter for a seal test on your own line.
Vinegar-based, acidic or oily fills can interact with the wax layer over time — as with all our structures, aggressive contents are validated by test against your actual product before we confirm the build-up.
